Several villages in the parishes of Domachowo and Krobia, which once belonged to the bishops of Poznań, are concentrated in this region. These are Skorzyn, Bukownica, Stara Krobia, Domachowo, Rębowo, Żychlewo, Wymysłów, Sułkowice, Posadowo, Potarzyca, Grabinowo, Chumiętki and Krobia. Nineteenth century enfranchisement and contemporary conditions have paved the way for a thrifty agriculturalist, open to new ideas, to become quite wealthy.
What sets this subregion apart? The strong sense of pride and identity among those who live here. Fragments of this identity survive in regional costumes, ceremonies and folklore. The beautiful costumes of Biskupianie can still be seen during performances of the Biskupiański Zespół Folklorystyczny (Biskupianie Folkloric Ensemble) from Domachowo.
