A sightseer and an author of tourist guides about Wielkopolska (Greater Poland). Born in 1903 in Glinienko near Poznań. He studied Romance philology at the Uniwersity of Poznań. After he graduated he started his local and tourist activity as a secretary of Polish Sightseeing Society between 1932-33.
He was wounded during the defence of Warsaw in 1939, then he spent few years in a POW camp in Woldenberg (Dobiegniew). When the war finished, he reactivated Polish Friends of Poznań Society. Between 1947-67 he was in the management of the General National Exhibition. At the same time he was active in the Polish Sightseeing Society and later – in Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society as a president of the management board of a district in years 1956-60. He also performed the same function in League for the Preservation of Nature between 1967-70.
Author hundreds of publications, among which the most valuable are 3 editions of the Greater Poland guide and 4 editions of the Greater Poland National Park guide. He died in 1983 in Poznań and is buried on the Junikowo cemetery.
