Scholars conducting research during renovation works on a supposedly 17th-century wooden church in Tarnowo Pałuckie made a sensational discovery. Dendrochronological tests revealed that the wood used to build the church was chopped around 1373. This small Tarnowo Pałuckie church is astonishingly beautiful. The walls are covered with a sumptuous polychrome made in the 1730s. Scenes from the lives of St. Margaret and St. Nicholas are depicted, along with scenes connected with the life of Christ. The piece de resistance is a remarkably rare depiction of Jesus being circumcised on display in the presbytery.
