GOSTYŃ
Gostyń is a county town located ca. 60 km south of Poznań, by the Leszno–Jarocin road.
Gostyń can boast its quite unusual museum: a private collection of vintage cars, created out of a passionate hobby of Jan and Maciej Ped. On visiting the museum, you can see dozen-or-so completely fit vehicles as well as steam engines. The oldest registered car in Poland is also there – a two-seat Reo, that is, Lorraine-Dietrich – the world’s only surviving representative of the SMH type.
Before you take off for the museum, it is recommendable to agree your visit date and time with the facility’s hosts as it does not open at regular hours.
