Chludowo
A village in the county of Poznań, 20 kilometres north of Poznań.
In the historic palace from 1875 is now a residence of Missionary House of Księża Werbiści and also a novitiate for the future missionars. The missionary priests have been residing here since 1934. Inside there is a museum of ethnography which treasures the souvenirs brought by the missionars from around the world.
Before the palace people can see also a bust of Roman Dmowski who live here between 1922-34. It is appropriate to rem ind that this leader of National Democracy (so called „Endecja”) was also a delegate and sygnatory of the Versaille Peace Treaty wchich practically gave back Poland it’s independance. He was a deputy and foreign minister of the Second Polish Republic.
Near is located another monument of blessed Arnold Jansen, the founder of Księża Werbiści.
The house is surrounded by the park with a pond and menagerie.
