A county village located in Pleszew District (powiat), 15 km north-east of Kalisz.

Since it’s beginnings Kalisz was developping energetically. When the Christian times have come, new faith has found zealous followers who were gathering eagerly on a mutual prayer and were building new temples.

That was not acceptable for demonic sphere. In hell decided about throwing the biggest stone on the city to destroy it. The strongest among the demons took the stone for that mission and flew toward the city. Unfortunately, the way to Kalisz was long and the stone too heavy. The night has passed and on the road has appeared an old woman going to a city market. She was carrying 2 roosters which were crowing loudly from time to time. The demon was so scared that he throw the stone in panic and run away. The stone, falling from such a big distance hit the land so hard that later no one and nothing was able to move it.
