ŚMIEŁÓW

This town in Jarocin County, 20 km north of Jarocin, is mostly associated with the Adam Mickiewicz Museum.

The variegated countryside around Żerków, in southern Wielkopolska, has earnt it the name “Żerków Switzerland”. This is also where the Żerków-Czeszewo Landscape Park was established. There is a scenic lookout halfway between Żerków and Śmiełów from where you can admire the extensive panorama of the region – even beyond Pyzdry, weather conditions permitting. The view that unfolds when the harvest has been brought in at the end of summer or when the surrounding forests explode into all the colours of a Polish autumn is especially beautiful.
